Temperatures. Year-round temperatures on Phuket Town vary between 23-34ºC. Water temperatures anger from 26-28ºC, which means wetsuits are not basic to savor water sports. The northeast monsoon season, approximately November until April, brings consistently sunny weather, chilly breezes & coarse humidity, with moderate seas. The SW monsoon, Might until October, sees the rainiest and most unpredictable weather by with frequent swells off the Indian Sea.  

Surroundings

On the isle of Phuket Town and on the adjacent mainland, tropic rainforests of different types provide superior opportunities for trekking. This region’s coral reefs are home to 106 coral reef seafood species that have already been identified. At the same time more than 210 species of difficult coral play their parts in constructing the reefs of the Andaman Ocean. We may constribute to this amazing fauna an undetermined count of soft coral species plus tens of 1000s of else marine organisms, including crustaceans, echinoderms, & worms, every with its personal role in maintaining the coral reef ecosystem when a whole.

These waters include more than 850 species of pelagic seafood (open-water when opposed to demersal, or those living advance the bottom), some of them of commercial value. The Andaman Ocean is on the migration roads of standard battling seafood such when the dark-blue marlin. Else much-sought-after trophy seafood are pitch-black marlin (relatively scarce), sailfish, barracuda and a diversify of sharks, notably tigers & makos.

Five species of ocean turtle nest on islands in Thai waters leatherbacks, light-green turtles, loggerheads, hawksbills, and Ridleys. All of these are endangered species, & they are less frequently sighted each year. Aside from more than thirty recorded species of ocean snakes, the only else marine reptile in the area is the brackish-water crocodile, locally all but aged, a species which inhabits mangrove swamps & acheron estuaries by the south-Central peninsula.

Else marine life of stamp includes the mammals. At least 2 species of dolphin are typically establish in Thai waters: the Indian porpoise & the long-nosed dolphin. Whales are occasional visitants, when pleasurable. The dugong, or “sea cow”, is nowadays all but extinct; and the Thai Fisheries Section has announced it a protected species.
